Edward M. Fayder, Sr., 82, of Edison, died suddenly on Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at the JFK Medical Center in Edison with his family by his side.

He was born in Fords and raised in Perth Amboy, before moving to Edison 57 years ago.

Edward was a graduate of Perth Amboy High School, and later served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Mr. Fayder was a vending machine mechanic with Dolly Madison Vending in Rahway and was an avid outdoorsman.

He is predeceased by his grandson, Michael Fayder, Jr.


Edward leaves behind his beloved wife of 57 years, Elizabeth "Betty" Fayder, his four beloved children, Edward M. Fayder, Jr. and his wife, Deborah, of Hillsborough, Michael D. Fayder and his wife, Helen, of Clinton, David W. Fayder and his wife, Deneen, of Middletown and Lisa F. Bolt and her husband, John, of Belle Mead, his loving grandchildren, Joseph, Kelly and Crystal Fayder, Ashley Willis, Samantha Fayder, Amanda and Meghan Bolt, his dear sister Frances Wargo and her husband, Tom, of Edison, his 2 nephews, John and Thomas Tokar and his niece, Patty Magill.

Funeral services will be on Friday, September 19, 2014, at 10 a.m. from the Flynn and son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863, followed by a 10:30 A.M. Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church, Fords. Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Hopelawn.

Visitation will be on Thursday, September 18, 2014, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
