Edward L. Ciesienski, Sr., 82, of Edison, passed away on June 14, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Ashley, PA, and resided in Edison for the last 11 years. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Army's 101st Airborne Ranger Division, and was awarded the Purple Heart and two Silver Stars. Edward was employed for 10 years with Colgate-Palmolive Company in Jersey City. He was also a County Committeeman, District #36, Edison.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Sondra, and 8 brothers and sisters. Surviving are his wife, Joan (Skiengel), married 35 years, his sons, Lance and Edward Jr., his daughters, Roxanne, Karen, Edna, Lynne, Linda, Lillian and Phyllis; also surviving are 22 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 8:15 AM on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave, Fords, followed by a 9 AM funeral liturgy at St. Francis Cathedral, Metuchen. Entombment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery Mausoleum, Colonia. Viewing will be held Wednesday 7-9 PM
