Obituary

Edna Kling (nee Anderson), 90, of Edison, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2013. Born February 5, 1922, in Marvin, South Dakota, she was a graduate of Brookings High School. Edna studied General Science and Aeronautical Engineering at SDSU for two-and-a-half years. She served on a special project during WWII at Curtis Wright Aeronautical Engineering in Columbus, OH. She decided her calling was to be a nurse and graduated from the University of Nebraska with a BS in Nursing. She worked at Christ Hospital in Jersey City prior to moving to Edison in 1956 and began to work at Perth Amboy General Hospital. Edna retired as Assistant Director of Nursing. She retired to Boston, VA, where she devoted her time to being a Hospice Nurse. She loved cooking, baking, gardening and spending time with her family.

She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Kling; brother, Bud Anderson; and sisters, Helen Severson and Ruby Potter.

Edna was a devoted mother and was loved and will be missed by many. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Willner and her husband, John of Avenel; sons, Mike Kling of Virginia Beach, VA, and Thomas Kling of Neptune City, NJ; two grandchildren, Erik and Christina; sister, Neoma Isaak of MN; and sister-in-law, Doris Ireland, of Boston, VA.

Services are private. Donations in Edna's name may be made to a Hospice of your choice.
