Obituary

Edmund Max Etzold, 78, of Edison entered into eternal rest on Thursday at the JFK Medical Center in Edison.

He was born in Perth Amboy, was formerly of Fords before moving to Edison 26 years ago. Ed owned and operated Etzold's Cleaners in Fords for more than 30 years before retiring in 1994.
He was a 58-year member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fords, a graduate of Woodbridge High School Class of 1951, a member of the Seabee Island X1 of N.J., a member of the F & AM Lafayette Lodge #27 in Rahway, past President of the Fords Businessmen's Association, past President of the Leica Historical Society of America, and an avid photographer and collector. He also served in the Seabee's Navy Reserves.

Ed is survived by his wife of 58 years, Janet, their children Kim Nota and her husband Robert of Hyde Park N.Y., and Edmund and his wife Patricia of Edison; 4 grandsons: Dominic and his wife Sara, Christopher, Anthony, and Nicholas; great-granddaughter, Gretchen; and his 2 dachshunds Shatzi and Ziggy.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 6:00 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, with Rev. Christopher Sadlo officiating. Visitation is Sunday from 2:00-6:00 pm.
