Obituary

Edith Chevalier, wife of Rob-Bob Chevalier passed peacefully in Old Bridge, NJ after 48 years of marriage to Robert Chevalier.

Edith and her husband resided in Perth Amboy, NJ from 1970 to 1999 when they moved to Old Bridge.

Edith, while living in Perth Amboy, was very active in the community.  With her good heart and open door that graced all those who walked through.  Edith was always ready with heart words offered tea and homemade bread.  She was a member of the Planned Parenthood Board, was a member of WATER which worked for the preservation of the Water Front and Ferry Slip, was an active member of the #1 School and the Perth Amboy High School PTA and PA Alternate High School.  Edith maintained the garden at the Kearney Cottage.

Edith  was and ardent quilter and had shows in various libraries, and museums throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania, as well as making over 150 quilts which she gifted to her many friends throughout the world.

Edith transformed the heart of those she touched with great warmth and energy.  She will be remembered for her positive outlook on life and her love and generosity to anyone she knew or met who needed help.

Edith is survived by her husband Robert Chevalier, her son Phill R. and his wife Angelia Chevalier and Leah Chevalier and four grandchildren, Devon Golez, Miles Chevalier, Zenobia Chevalier Mossman, and Olivia Chevalier and her sister Autricia Enill of New York.
