Dorothy Drusilla Yager (nee: Williams), 88, of Metuchen, passed away peacefully following her brief battle with leukemia, on November 14, 2015 at JFK Medical Center, Edison. She was born on June 8, 1927 in Bryn Mawr, PA. to Mary Russell (Jameson) and Gabriel Williams. On February 14, 1946, she married her sweetheart, John Will Yager, and together they lived in love until his passing in 2013.
She leaves her family and friends to rejoice her earthly life and cherish her memories.
Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, John, in 2013 and her brother, George Williams. Surviving is her son, John Jr. and his partner Diane Stalling of Metuchen, her daughters, Pamela Pelley and her partner, Ed Monahan of Metuchen, Roxie Biro and her husband Les of Toms River, Bonnie Chu and her husband Roger of Toms River, Shelley Windos and her husband Jerry of Metuchen, Lisa Amoroso and her husband Chris of Plantation, FL. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Dawn, Allan, Dominic, Brittany, Ruthann, Robin, Zachary and Olivia, her 8 great-grandchildren, and her sisters, Barbara Ward of Edison and Minnie Garcia of LBI.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, November 20, 2015 at Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Ave., Metuchen. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Iselin. Viewing will be Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
