Dorothy A. (Faherty) Sklarz, 81, of Edison, passed away, on May 26, 2016, at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born in Philadelphia, PA Dorothy had lived in Edison for 45 years. She was a graduate of Rutgers University with a BA, and was a devoted artist and world traveler.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, William "Bill" Sklarz, to whom she was married to for 49 years; her two daughters, Caroline Katz and her husband Scott of Westfield and Elizabeth "Bizzy" Stedina and her husband Matt of VT; four grandchildren, Ellie, Nate, William and Amelia.

Dorothy is predeceased by her parents, Stephen and Loretta Faherty.

A memorial service will be held at 2pm, on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Ave., Metuchen. Friends and family are welcome to visit with the family from 1-3pm at the funeral home. Cremation was private.
