Dorothy Rita Schuck, 89, of Hopelawn, passed away on December 31, 2025, at the Venetian in South Amboy. She was born in Tottenville, Staten Island on December 28, 1936. Dorothy was a Secretary for America Fore in NYC. She was a graduate of Tottenville High School Class of 1954. Dorothy was a Communicant of Holy Spirit Church of Good Shepherd Parish. She was a Floral Designer and enjoyed decorating her home. She loved music, especially opera and show tunes.

Dorothy was predeceased by her beloved husband, Thomas J. Schuck, in 1994.

She is survived by a son, Thomas J. Schuck Jr., and his wife, Maura, of Springfield, VT; two daughters, Karen Sosinski, and her husband, Mike, of Walnut Creek, CA; and Elaine Moore, and her husband, Steven, of Perth Amboy; five grandchildren: Kiely, Kelly, David, Michael, and Christine; four great-grandchildren: Taylor, David, Lena, and Jonas; and a sister, Patricia Behary, and her husband, Jimmy, of Prescott, AZ.

Visitation will be on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at the Flynn and Son/Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863, from 2-6 pm. Funeral services will begin Monday at the funeral home at 9:30 am followed by a 10 am Funeral Liturgy at Holy Rosary Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will be in St. Gertrude Cemetery.
