Dorothy Perz, age 83, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 7, 2026, at The Delaney of Bridgewater Senior Living Community in Bridgewater, New Jersey.

Born on July 18, 1943, in Ridgewood, Queens, New York, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Alois and Aloisa (Tramposh) Perz. After graduating from high school, Dorothy built a successful career as a payroll coordinator and bookkeeper for Local Union No. 3 IBEW, where she worked diligently for 50 years before retiring.

Following her retirement, Dorothy made her home in Walton, New York, where she enjoyed sharing a log cabin with her beloved sister, Hilda, and cousin, Albert. Dorothy cherished the simple joys in life and had a deep love for her family. In her free time, she enjoyed needlepoint, photography, and spending relaxing afternoons watching classic reruns of The Lone Ranger.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her sister, Hilda Perz, and her cousin, Albert Stiene.

She leaves behind many loving family members and friends who will forever treasure her memory, including, Lorri D'Amico and her husband, Salvatore, Alexa D'Amico, her husband, Matthew, and their son, Emerson, Maxwell D'Amico and his wife, Mollie; Ronald Ziesel and his wife, Lori, Joshua Ziesel, his wife, Samantha, and their son, Charlie, and Matthew Ziesel; Peter Ziesel, Andrew Ziesel and his wife, Emily, Samantha Ziesel and her husband, Brendan, and Madelyn Ziesel; Irene Bigot and her husband George, and Helen Tramposh; along with many other relatives and dear friends.

Dorothy will be remembered for her kindness, devotion to family, gentle spirit, and the warmth she brought to those fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy of love and friendship will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass for Dorothy on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 3:00 PM at the Roman Catholic Church of St. Bernard of Clairvaux, 500 US-22, Bridgewater, NJ 08807.

Interment will take place on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St. John Cemetery, 80-01 Metropolitan Avenue, Middle Village, NY 11379.

Dorothy's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of The Delaney of Bridgewater for the compassionate care and support they provided during her final years.
