Dorothy B. Parente's Obituary
Dorothy B. Parente, 80, of Fords, passed peacefully on Saturday September 17, 2011, at her home with her family at her side.
Dorothy was born in Tewksbury, MA, was formerly of Staten Island, NY, and has resided in Fords since 1961. Mrs. Parente was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace Church in Fords and enjoyed painting and making crafts.
She is the predeceased by three brothers: Daniel, Donald, and Ernest; and three sisters: Marilyn, Barbara, and Dolores.
Dorothy is survived by her husband of 58 years, Fiorello "Babe" Parente; her six children: Marilyn B. Parente and her husband Richard Urban of Somerset, Karen Parente and John Capiello, Sharon Parente, and Debbie Parente, all of Fords, Brian Parente of Lebanon, and Donna Parente of Edison; her grandson, Timothy Parente of Califon; and her brother, Terrence McCarthy, of California.
Funeral Services will be on Thursday, September 22, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. from the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ 08863, followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Church in Fords. Interment will follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 21, 2011, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Dorothy's memory to the Haven Hospice Unit at JFK Medical Center, 80 James Street, Edison NJ 08818-9972.
