Dorothy E. Kiyak, 76, of Parlin, passed peacefully at home on December 31, 2017.
Born in Edison, she had resided in Parlin for over 50 years.
She retired in 1997, after years with the Sentry Insurance Co. in Freehold, and prior to that she had been employed with East Coast Insurers of East Brunswick.
She had been a former Girl Scout and Brownie leader with Troop # 466 in Parlin. She also was a very active member of the Samsel School PTA in Parlin in the 1970's. "Most of all, she loved being around her family.
She was predeceased by her parents, John and Margaret (Estok) Yunker.
She leaves behind her beloved husband of 57 years, Theodore " Ted" Kiyak, her two beloved daughters, Michele Muroski and her husband Ed, of Brick, and Cindy Magyarits of Parlin, her four grandchildren; Nicole and Amber Muroski and Elizabeth and Emily Magyarits and her brother, Robert Yunker and his wife Louise, of Manchester, several nieces and nephews, and her beloved and faithful puppy, "Buddy".
Visitation will be on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm, at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863.
Funeral services will begin on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. from the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, followed by a 10 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at St. James Church, Woodbridge. Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Hopelawn.
