Dorothy E. Dorman's Obituary
Dorothy E. Dorman, 80, of Whiting and formerly of Sewaren, a Christian woman, went to be with the Lord on November 28, 2011.
Dorothy was born in Perth Amboy on March 30, 1931. She was a very proud alumnus of Perth Amboy High School, graduating in 1949. Dorothy worked as an Office Manager for Drs. Hirsch and Stahl in Hopelawn for 35 years. She was a member of Simpson Methodist Church. She loved knitting, crocheting, and gardening.
Dorothy was predeceased by her late husband, Charles A. Dorman Jr., in 1995 and her late brother, William E. Drost. She is survived by her daughter, Debra Dorman of Whiting and her son, Jack Dorman and his wife Annette of Seaside Park. She adored her granddaughter, April Mari Dorman. She is also survived by her nieces, Mary Ann Zagorski and Patricia Haynes.
Visitation will be on Thursday, December 1, 2011, from 10:00 am-12:00 Noon, at the Flynn And Son Funeral Home, 424 East Avenue, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861. Services will be on Thursday at 12:00 Noon. Cremation will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation.
