Dorothy Brooks, passed away at home on June 14, 2021. She was born on August 11, 1928, in Stapleton, Staten Island. Dorothy was a Homemaker. She was a member of the Metuchen Seniors and was an avid card player. She loved to travel with her husband Robert, visiting many countries around the world. She was a member of AARP.

Dorothy was predeceased by a son, Doug Brooks in 1990, and two brothers, Cornelius and Richard Cummings.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Robert Brooks, of Edison; a son, Ronald Brooks, and his wife, Carol, of Edison; three grandchildren: Lisa McCoy, and her husband, Nick, Chris Brooks, and his wife, Cathy, and Kimberly Romero, and her husband, Fernando; four great grandchildren: Luke, Emma, Declan, and Nolan.

Visitation will be on Wednesday 4-7 pm at the Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Ave., Metuchen, NJ 08840. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10 am in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery in Plainfield.
