Obituary of Doris Skelly


Doris Skelly, 93, of Linden, passed away Saturday, September 8, 2018 at her home. Mrs. Skelly was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Daniel and Mary Pieplow and had previously lived for many years in Fords before moving to Linden four years ago.
Doris had been a devoted wife, mother and homemaker.
She was a member of the Our Lady of Peace RC Church in Fords.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband John Skelly in 1999 and by her two brothers Dan and John Pieplow.
Surviving are her two daughters: Jean Lee and husband James of Linden, and Susan Stockton of Salisbury, MD, and her three grandchildren Brian, Bonnie and Shawn.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday 10:00 am at the Mitruska Funeral Home, Inc., 531 New Brunswick Ave., Fords. Followed by a 10:30 am mass in the Our Lady of Peace Church also in Fords. Interment will follow in the Franklin Memorial Park Cemetery in North Brunswick. Visitation hours will be held Wednesday from 9:00 am until the time of service.
