Doris Rita Shebel, 93, of Edison entered into eternal rest on Sunday, April 15, 2012, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.

Doris was born in Malone, NY, and has resided in Edison for the past 61 years. She was a homemaker, spending her time raising her 10 children. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace RC Church in Fords.

Doris was predeceased by her husband, John, who died in October of last year. She is survived by her children: Joy Huether of Edison; Pamela Shebel of West Windsor; Mary Jo Gudmestad of New Hope, PA; Susan Almquist of Delanco; Kathleen Koletis of Westbrook, ME; Theresa Adams of Norfolk, VA; Lu Ann Fayder of Edison; Andre Shebel of Dundee, NY; Robert Shebel of Edison; and John Shebel of Ellicott City, MD; her 18 grandchildren and 9 great- grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at 10:00 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ, followed by a 10:30 am Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace RC Church. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 9:00-10:00 am.
