Doris Friis, 84, of Sewaren, "Our most amazing and wonderful mother", passed peacefully at her home, on Thursday, February 13, 2020.

Born in Perth Amboy, on May 30, 1935, and had resided in Sewaren, for the last 62 years.

She was a retired office manager for NJ Steno of Woodbridge, prior to that she had been a legal secretary for Wysoker & Glassner and Kenneth Wiener Law Firms in New Brunswick.

She spent untold, great times in Pennsylvania, riding motorcycles and camping, with friends and family. Years later, she spent fun filled weekends at the family shore house in Toms River. She enjoyed swimming with her grandchildren, going out on her son's boat and just hanging out with family.

She absolutely loved listening to country music and spent many Friday nights out, Country Line Dancing with her daughter.

"We will miss you, Mom!"

Doris was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert Friis who died in 2009, and her five sisters; Mary Sukovich, Anna Bonalsky, Helen Pocsik, Olga Ridnak, Catherine Rectorovich, her two brothers; John Nahai and Joseph Nahai.

She leaves behind, her three beloved sons;  Glenn Friis and his wife Lori, of Freehold; Chris Friis and his wife Denise, of Toms River;  Ron Friis of Sewaren, and her beloved daughter, Cindy Ciasco of Sewaren and her four dear granddaughters; Alyssa Capparucci, Kristen Ciasco, Jessica Heilweil and Danielle Heilweil and also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Sunday, February 16, 2020, from 2 pm to 5 pm, at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, at 10 a.m. from the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, Followed by a 10:30 am Funeral Liturgy at St.James Roman Catholic Church in Woodbridge. Interment will follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
