Obituary of Doris Corlew
Doris Corlew, 97, of Edison, passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at her home. Mrs. Corlew was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Arnt and Bertha Pedersen and had previously lived in the Tottenville section of Staten Island before she moved to Edison fifty five years ago.
She was employed by RCA Somerville as an executive secretary for twenty years before retiring in 1986.
Doris was predeceased by her beloved husband Donald W. Corlew in 2002, and also by three brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are her son: Donald R. Corlew and wife Denise B. of Lincroft, her four daughters: Donna Hernandez of Allendale, Sharon Luethi and husband Max of Monroe Township, Michelle Burton and husband Steve of Odessa, DE and Lisa Steinberg and husband Richard of Orefield, PA, thirteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday 11:00 am at the Mitruska Funeral Home, 531 New Brunswick Ave., Fords officiated by Pastor Fred McCarthy. Entombment will follow in the Woodbridge Memorial Gardens in Woodbridge. Visitation hours will be held Sunday from 2-4 pm at the funeral home.
