Doris Bernai (nee Sereda), 79, of Edison, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2013, at her home with her only daughter, Darlene, by her side. Born November 21, 1934, in Perth Amboy, she resided there for 25 years before moving to Edison. She graduated Perth Amboy High School with the Class of 1952 and received her Associates Degree from Middlesex Community College. Doris was employed by the Edison Board of Education as a Para-Professional worker for over 25 years. She retired in1996. Her enjoyment was traveling with her friends and daughter. She also enjoyed caring for her Irises.

She was predeceased by her loving parents, Joseph and Vera (nee Gosack), and her beloved husband, John, in 1997.

She is survived by her dedicated daughter, Darlene Bernai.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 4, 2013, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ 08863. Funeral Services will be Thursday, December 5, 2013, at 11:30 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Alpine Cemetery.
