Donald C. Bachman, 75, of Edison, passed away on April 24, 2018, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.  Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, he spent his early years in New York before settling in Perth Amboy where he met and married his wife.  They then moved to Edison where they have resided for the past 51 years.  He was employed by Ford Motor Company in Quality Control for 38 years prior to his retirement in 2004.  Donald was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served during the Vietnam War.  He was a Life Member of the Carteret VFW Post #1317 and a Member of the UAW #980 in Edison.  He enjoyed fishing, boating and motorcycling; but above all, he cherished his time with his family.

Donald was predeceased by his brother, Charles Bachman.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 51 years, Frances (Catelli) Bachman; his son, Donald C. Bachman, Jr. and his wife, Carrie; his daughter, Lynda Cubelo and her husband, Richard; six grandchildren:  Brianna, Alyssa, Braden, Gia, Brant and Evelyn; his sister, Carol Arrasate; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Avenue, Metuchen, NJ 08840.  Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 8:15 AM from the funeral home followed by a 9:00 AM mass at Good Shepherd Parish – Holy Rosary Church.  Interment will follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Hopelawn.
