Domenica Pugliese (nee DeVita), affectionately known as "Micia" by those closest to her, peacefully departed this life on April 22, 2024 surrounded by those she loved most. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and great aunt.

Born October 26, 1931, in the small village of Spilinga, Italy to a family of 5, she moved to Argentina at the age of 21, with her husband Tomasso Pugliese, where they owned a general store for 20 years.

She later immigrated once again with her husband and children to the United States in 1975. There she spent over 20 years working at a manufacturing company.  She loved to cook and readily welcomed anyone with open arms to her home for a coffee, dinner, or a simple chat. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and taking care of others.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Tommaso Pugliese, her son Giuseppe Pugliese, her parents Domenico and Rosa DeVita, and her siblings Michele and Antonio DeVita.

She is survived by her daughter Antonia M DeBartolis and husband Gaetano with whom she resided in Edison; her daughter-in law Maria Cristina Pugliese; her four grandchildren: Leonardo Pugliese, Gabriela Pugliese, Francesco DeBartolis, and Sara Buono (nee DeBartolis); her great grandchildren Gia and Thomas Buono; and her siblings Pasquale, Eleonora, and Antonia DeVita.

Visitation will be on Friday April 26, 2024 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Flynn & Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863.
Funeral services will begin on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 9:00 am from the funeral home, followed by a 9:30 am Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Church in Fords.

Entombment will follow in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens.
