Obituary

Dolores Weins (Pojnar), 81, of Edison, passed away peacefully at HMH JFK Medical Center (Hospice) in Edison on Monday, June 29, 2026.

Born in Newark, Dolores lived in Menlo Park Terrace before moving to Edison. In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling, playing softball, volleyball, playing Left Right Center and taking trips to the casinos. She also worked for a short time at the merry-go-round in Woodbridge Center, where she operated the ride and sold tickets.

She was predeceased by her husband of 38 years, John, in 2003; her parents, Nellie and Stanley Pojnar; and her brothers, Anthony Pojnar and Stanley Pojnar.

Dolores is survived by her children, Denise Keenan and her husband, Donald, and John Weins and his wife, Karen; her grandchildren, Brian Weins and his wife, Briana, Jamie Edwards and her husband, Jordan, and Shaun Keenan; her great-granddaughter, Hannah Weins; her brother, Robert Poyner; and her sister-in-law, Jennie Pojnar.

She will be dearly missed by her friends and neighbors.

Cremation was private. A memorial visitation will be held at Flynn and Son / Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ on Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. A memorial service will commence at 9:45 am. Interment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery, Linden.
