Dolores Schirmer, (nee Mattaliano), 83, of Fords, passed away on September 16, 2015 at Haven Hospice in JFK. She was born on August 25, 1932, in Passaic. She was a homemaker and a communicant of OLP.
Dolores was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Bruce Schirmer in 2013; a sister, Jenny Lombard; four brothers, Paul, Freddy, Joey and Jimmy Mattaliano.
She is survived by four sons: Bruce Schirmer of Colonia, Raymond Schirmer and his wife, Jeannette, of Jackson, Duane Schirmer and his wife, Allison, of East Brunswick, and Darrin Schirmer of Edison; two grandchildren, Joey and DJ; three sisters, Helen Anderson of Newton, Marie Hopta of Vernon, and Anna Mattaliano of Totowa, and a half brother, Joe Mattaliano of Montvale.
A 12 noon Funeral Liturgy will be offered Saturday at Our Lady of Peace Church in Fords. Cremation will be private.
