Dolores Alexander, 76, of Fords entered into eternal rest Friday, June 24, 2011, at Care One at the Highlands.

Dolores was born in Newark and has resided in Fords since 1963. She was a homemaker and a communicant of Our Lady of Peace R C Church in Fords.

Dolores is survived by her husband, Anthony J. Alexander, to whom she was married for 54 years; her children: Maureen Scafidi and her husband Augie of Somerset; William A. Alexander and his wife Amy of Rockville, MD.; Richard Alexander of Brooklyn, NY; and Nancy Simon and her husband Curt of Red Bank; four grandchildren: Denise Blacker, Eric and Robin Alexander, and Daniel Simon; her cousin, Ellen Miller of Springfield; two nieces, and a nephew in California.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at 10:00 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, followed by a 10:30 am Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace Church. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover. Visitation is Tuesday, June 28 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm.
