Obituary

Diane Kaplan, 70, of Parlin, entered into eternal rest March 18, 2016, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. She was born in New Rochelle, NY, and has resided in Parlin for the past 48 years.

Diane was a second grade teacher and then a librarian in the Woodbridge Township School system for 35 years before retiring in 2010.

She was a member of the WEA, NJEA, MCEA, NEA, and the American Library Assn. Middlesex County Chapter. Diane was also a member of Temple Beth Ohm and the Sisterhood in Aberdeen, B'nai Brith, and Hadassah.

Diane was an exquisitely kind, gentle, sweet, and loving woman, who was unfailingly generous, supportive, creative, intelligent, and humble; she was truly a rare gem. She will be missed beyond reason. She is, and always will be, pure Love.

Diane is survived by her husband Sheldon J. Kaplan, her daughters Melissa Kaplan and Shari Kaplan and her sister Maxine Drusendahl.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 9:30 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, with Rabbi Joel Mishkin officiating. Interment will be in Beth Israel Cemetery.
