Diane Elizabeth James (née LaFogg), 81, of Perth Amboy, NJ, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2025, at Brighton Gardens Assisted Living Facility in Edison, NJ.

Born in Baltimore, MD, on March 28, 1944, Diane spent most of her life in York, PA before moving to Perth Amboy
eight years ago to be closer to family.

She devoted many years of her career as a Medical Assistant in York, PA,
where she was admired for her compassion, dedication, and gentle spirit.
Her kindness touched countless lives, both professionally and personally.

Diane was preceded in death by her beloved son, Anthony James (1993),
her sister Marjorie Johnson and her husband Herb , and her brother-in-law Thomas Coley.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son Richard and his significant other Vlasta;
her daughter Kimberly Nater and her husband Robert;
her granddaughter Kristen Benedicks and her husband Zachary;
her grandson Ryan Nater ;
and her sister Judy Coley.
She is also survived by several nieces and nephews who will hold her memory close.

Diane's life was marked by devotion to her family, resilience through loss,
and a quiet strength that inspired those around her.
She found joy in family gatherings, treasured the bonds of friendship,
and will be remembered for her warmth, grace, and unwavering love.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 7, 2025,
from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Flynn and Son / Mitruska Funeral Home,
23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ 08863. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m., officiated by Rev. Sean Winters.

Interment will take place on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Rose Cemetery, York, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Diane's honor to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, continuing her legacy of care and compassion
