Dennis Jon Westberg, age 69 of Edison, died on Monday at Cedar Oaks Nursing Home in South Plainfield. He was born in Avenel and resided in Perth Amboy for 25 years before moving to Edison.

Dennis graduated from Woodbridge High School, Class of 1958 and then attended Monmouth College in Long Branch and Seton Hall University in South Orange. He was a Social Worker at the Middlesex County Welfare Division of Social Services in New Brunswick and Perth Amboy retiring after 25 years of service.

He will be remembered for his wit and unique sense of humor and his love of jazz music. Dennis attended the Woodstock Music Festival in New York State in 1969.

Surviving are his wife, Elaine Alexander Westberg, his sister, Gertrude Westberg of Delaware, his cousins, Carl Rosenblad of North Carolina and Sigrid Clark of South Carolina, his two nieces and one nephew.
