Delores K McKenna, 88, of Fords, passed peacefully on Sunday, October 25, 2020, at JFK Medical Center in Edison.

Born in Newark, she was formerly of Irvington and had resided in Fords for the last 61 years.

She was a graduate of Irvington High School with the "Class of 1950".

She enjoyed going to her summer home in Silver Beach, NJ, was an avid bowler and enjoyed going to Atlantic City.

She was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Caren Thomas (1994), her dear parents; Kurt and Stella Steinhouse and her dear brother, Arnold Steinhouse.

She leaves behind her beloved husband of 61 years, John J McKenna, her beloved son, Craig McKenna of Pasadena, CA, her four cherished grandchildren; Sherri Thomas of Hindsboro, Illinois and Michelle, Lauren and John McKenna of Manhattan Beach, CA, her six dear great-grandchildren and her two loving nieces; Susan Brogan of Holmdel and Sharon Brogan of Matawan.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 4, 2020, from 10 am to 11 am only, at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. from the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, interment will follow in St Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the American Heart Association.
