Debra Joan Banasiak, 65, of Glen Rock, PA, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on November 13, 2024. Born on June 9, 1959, in Perth Amboy to Salvatore and Joan Tarantino, she lived most of her life in Perth Amboy before moving to Glen Rock in May of 2022. Debi was a Perth Amboy High School Graduate Class of 1977, and a former member of St. James Church in Woodbridge.

Among her many jobs, she worked at Margaretten & Co., Inc., was a teller at Perth Amboy Savings, and finished her career as a Paraprofessional at James J. Flynn and Ignacio Cruz on June 24, 2021 after 24 years in the Perth Amboy School System.

Debra was predeceased by her parents, Salvatore and Joan Tarantino.

Debra is survived by her husband of 42 years, Robert Banasiak; her son, Brian Banasiak; her sisters, Donna Olivacz and Valerie Tutton; her brother, Mark Tarantino and her grandchild, Corbin Thomas Banasiak, who'll miss his "Lolli" very much.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday November 19, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 9:45 a.m., on November 20, 2024 followed by a 10:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at St. James Church, Woodbridge. Interment will follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery of Good Shepherd Parish, Fords.
