Obituary of Deborah M. Markussen
Deborah M. Markussen, 69, of Fords, passed away Monday, March 29, 2021 at J.F.K. Medical Center in Edison. Mrs. Markussen was born in Jersey City to the late Daniel Francis and Mary Noonan and had lived in Fords for the last forty-five years.
She was employed as a statistics analysts by Siemen's Corporation in Iselin for ten years before retiring in 1987.
Deborah was predeceased by her sister Doreen Hlavenka in 2013.
Surviving are her loving husband, of forty seven years, Douglas E. Markussen, her son: Kevin Markussen of Fords, her daughter: Laurie Markussen also of Fords, her brother: Daniel F. Noonan III of Iselin, her two sisters: Denise Collins of Edison, and Diane Henry of Fords, and also many nieces and nephews and four great nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday 10:30 am at the Mitruska Funeral Home, Inc., 531 New Brunswick Ave., Fords, with the Rev. Fr. Sean Winters officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Gertrude's Cemetery in Colonia. Visitation hours will be held Friday from 4 - 7 pm at the funeral home.
