Dawn Joan Rhodes, 85, of Jackson, entered into eternal rest September 17, 2019, at Care One in Jackson.  She was born in Frackville, PA, and was formerly of Edison for 55 years before moving to Jackson last year.

Dawn was a Neuro Secretary at JFK Medical Center in Edison for many years before retiring.  She was a longtime communicant at St. Matthews RC Church in Edison and an avid knitter.

Dawn was predeceased by her husband, Newton E. Rhodes, in 2008; her sons, Bruce in 1964 and Scott in 2018; her brother, Joseph Snyder Jr. in 2001, and son-in-law, Chris Robbins in 2018.

She is survived by her daughters, Joy McWeeney and her husband, Kevin, of Jackson and Lynn Rhodes of South Plainfield; her grandchildren, Autumn Boryeskne and Rachel McWeeney; and her sister, Audrey Vern Lindner and her husband, Dennis, of Orwigsburg, PA.

Visitation will be on Saturday, September 28, 2019, from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm at the Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Avenue, Metuchen.  A funeral service will be offered at 12:30 pm.  Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway.
