David Alvin Adams, 66 of Hopelawn, entered into eternal rest May 4, 2018 at his home. He was born in Jersey City and has resided in Hopelawn for the past 45 years.

He was a Corrections Officer with the Hudson County Department of Corrections for 22 years before retiring in 2014.

David is survived by his children Dana Sutkowski and her husband Steve of Carteret, Julie Heise and her husband Thomas Jr. of North Brunswick, and David Adams of Norfolk, VA, his sister Barbara Schwabe of Cherry Hill, his granddaughter Veronica Sutkowski. and his former wife, Gail Adams.

Visitation will be on Thursday May 10, 2018 from 7-9 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home 23 Ford Avenue, Fords with a service at 8:30 PM. In lieu of flowers contributions are requested to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Wounded Warriors Fund.
