David J. Adams, 66,of Perth Amboy died after a brief illness on July 2, 2011, at JFK Medical Center in Edison.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, David resided in Perth Amboy for 20 years. He was an Accountant for 15 years with Andersen Contractors in Fairlawn, NJ. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1966-1971 and spent one year in Viet Nam as a 1st Lieutenant. David was a graduate of Hunter College, Class of '65 with a BA Degree in Political Science. He was a dedicated member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Perth Amboy where he was Treasurer, Verger, and Lay Minister and where he found peace and solace. His absence leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His sense of humor and compassion will be missed by a host of family and friends.
There will be at 10:00 AM a Requiem Mass at St. Peter's Episcopal Church on Wednesday, July 6, 2011. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the FLYNN AND SON FUNERAL HOME, 424 East Avenue, Perth Amboy. Interment will follow in St. Peters Church Yard.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 5, 2011, from 7:00-9:00 PM at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Perth Amboy.
