Darlene Teresa ( nee: Allardice) Holowka, 65, of the Fords section of Woodbridge Twp., passed suddenly on Friday, December 26, 2025, at the JFK Medical Center in Edison.

Born in Bayonne, NJ, she had resided in Fords most of her life.

She was a graduate of  Woodbridge High School, with the "Class of  1978"

She worked almost 30 years as a chiropractic assistant at Family Chiropractic Health Center with Dr. Lisa Corduan, where she was so loved by all her patients.

She was predeceased by her parents, James and Maureen Allardice.

She leaves behind her beloved husband of 43 years, Michael Holowka, and her three cherished daughters Tammie Holowka, Lisa Collins and her husband Randy, and Brittany Smith and her husband Scott. Darlene was a guiding light and maternal presence for her granddaughter, Fiona, throughout her life. She was also the most incredible Grammie to Aiden and Emily, and a wonderful sister to Doreen Allardice, James Francis Allardice, Jr. and his wife, Lisa, and William J. Allardice and his wife, Christine. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews, who she loved so dearly, as well as her loyal dog, Bentley.

Her greatest joy in life was being 'Grammie' and she poured her heart into every moment spent with her grandchildren and granddogs. She lived a life of generosity, always putting the needs of others before her own. She was known as a giver, touching countless lives with kindness and compassion. Although the family is deeply saddened by the sudden loss, she leaves behind a legacy of hope, resilience, and unwavering kindness - a light that will continue to shine in the stories we tell, the traditions we keep, and the love we share.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the Flynn and Son / Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863.

Funeral services will begin on Saturday morning, January 3, 2026  at  9 a.m. from the Flynn and Son/Mitruska Funeral Home, followed by a 9:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady Of Peace RC Church in Fords.
