Obituary

Danny R Marrs, 74, of Fords, NJ, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his beloved wife and daughters on April 10, 2021.  He was born on November 19, 1946 in Cushing, Oklahoma to parents Clifford and Ethel Marrs.  He moved to Kansas and then lived in the Bronx, NY until he joined the US Army from which he was honorably discharged in March, 1968.  He has been a resident of Fords, NJ and a parishioner of Our Lady of Peace Church for the past 36 years.

Danny worked as a carpenter as a member of NJ Carpenters, Local 1006 until his retirement in 2003.  He was an honorary member of the Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh in Old Bridge where he enjoyed many friendships, softball games and Friday evenings of relaxation.

Danny was predeceased by his daughter Jenifer Marrs and his sister and brother-in-law, Sherry and Kevin Morgan.

He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Kathleen; Children Christine and Tom Mott, Tracey and Mikal Drange, Stefanie Marrs and Dennis Reynolds; Grandchildren Kaitlyn, Marissa, Sarah, Nicholas, Grace, Julia and Joseph; Sister and brother-in-law Trish and Bob Shore; a multitude of loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A visitation celebrating Danny's life will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, from 3:00-7:00 PM at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ 08863.  A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home followed by a 10:30 AM Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace Church, Fords (GPS-use address 620 Amboy Avenue, Edison). There will be no cemetery services.

In lieu of flowers, donation can be made in Danny's name to THE CHRISTIAN BROADCASTING NETWORK
