Daniel King, 83, of Edison, passed away on September 14, 2014, at the New Jersey Veterans Home. Born in New York City, he resided in Edison for the past 25 years. Prior to his retirement, Daniel was a Design Engineer with Westinghouse in Jersey City. He was a Veteran of the Korean War. He enjoyed playing golf and watching the NY Giants.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Gwen Grabinsky; grandson, Walter Grabinsky; a brother, and two sisters.
Daniel is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Corine King (nee Cieslak) of Edison; his daughters: Christine Nardoza and husband, John, of Fords; Megan Finnen and husband, Daniel, of Levittown, NY; Margaret Ackerman and husband, Robert, of Fayetteville, PA; Peggy Weber and husband, Greg, of Freehold; and Laureen Del Priore of Colonia; nine grandchildren: Alexandra, Johnny, Patrick, Aidan, Shawn, Justin, Carla, Valerie, and Andrea; and great-grandson, Shawn, Jr.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, September 17, 2014, 9:15 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ 08863, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Liturgy at the Transfiguration of the Lord Parish, Guardian Angels Church. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Interment will be in Clover Leaf
Memorial Park.
