Dana M. Lowrie, 34, of Edison, passed away on October 11, 2017 at her home.
She was a lifelong resident of Edison. Dana was a special education school teacher for 10 years with the Linden Board of Education at the McManus Middle School.
She was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Barbara Higgins.
Surviving are her son, Michael Popola; her brother, Joseph Higgins of Edison; her sister, Stacey Higgins of Kearney, and Dana's former husband, Richard Popola of Edison.
Viewing will be 2-4 PM on Sunday, October 15, 2017, at Flynn and Son / Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Ave., Metuchen. A private cremation will be held.
