Correen Ann Deter (O'Handley ), 67, of Menlo Park Terrace section of Woodbridge died January 7, 2011, at JFK Hartwycz Estates, Edison. After the death of her father in 1961, Coreen moved with her family to Boston, MA. She attended medical school there. In 1967, she married and resided on a farm in Fulton, Illinois for 10 years. In 1982, she married Tom Deter of Point Pleasant and had the best 10 years of her life until he passed away in 1992. In 1993 she resided with her twin sister, Colleen, in Metuchen until her passing in 2007.
Coreen was a self-employed medical transcriptionist. She was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 1978, Edison for 20 years. A good woman with a good heart; many could not endure what she went through in life.
Coreen is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas, who passed in 1992 and her sister, Colleen Lyszczasz, who died in 2007. She is survived by two sons: Don Webster of Jenks, Oklahoma, and Scott Webster of Annawan, Illinois; 4 grandchildren: Jareb, Kaleb, Eli, and Olivia; three sisters: Linda Murphy of Marshfield, Massachusetts, Lois Fisher of Lynn, Massachusetts, and Mary O'Handley of Glace Bay, Nova Scotia; and a brother-in-law, Alex Lyszczasz, a life-long friend that was always there in her time of need.
Funeral Services will be from FLYNN AND SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Ford Ave., Fords. Cremation will be private. Friends and family may call on Thursday, January 13, 2011, from 6:00-9:00 PM.
