Connie DeMarco, 97, of Toms River, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, June 18, 2017.  She was born in Newark to the late Luigi and Jennie Caiola.  She moved to Union with her late husband, Jack, where they raised their family.

Connie is survived by her three children and their spouses, Rachel Fagan of Warrington, PA, William DeMarco and his wife Maria of Manahawkin, and June Vardaro and her husband Tom of Monroe.  She is also survived by her ten grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Connie was a vibrant woman who successfully managed a working career while remaining the matriarch of her family.  Her love, hospitality, and memorable home cooked meals, were always the focal point and highlight for holidays and any occasion.

She was an avid tennis player, competitive speed walker, Special Olympics Instructor, peer leader for healthy bones classes, EMT volunteer, and remained active in these activities through her senior years.

Visitation is on Wednesday, June 21, 2017, from 4 pm to 8 pm.  Funeral Services will be held on Thursday June 22, 2017 at 8:30 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home 23 Ford Avenue, Fords followed by a 9 am Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace R C Church in Fords.  Entombment will be in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens.
