Clare Melita Kelly Kenzenkovic, 86, of Perth Amboy died Sunday August 8, 2010, at her daughter's home.
Clare was born in Perth Amboy and lived here most of her life. She attended local elementary schools and graduated from Perth Amboy High School in June 1942. After high school, she attended IBM School in Newark and was employed for over 10 years at the Raritan Arsenal. With the birth of her children, she became a full-time homemaker. During that time, she was active in and became president
of the No. 9 School Parent Teacher Organization. She later worked for the Perth Amboy Board of Education as a Cafeteria Monitor at Perth Amboy High School and for over 17 years was the manager of Ties by Lord Andrews and The Tie Shop at Woodbridge Center before retiring in 1997.
Deceased family members include her husband Robert J. in 1970;
sister, Marie Kelly; and brother George "Pat" Kelly. Surviving family members include: son, Kevin G. and his wife Noreen Shugrue of Manchester, Ct.;
2 daughters: Susan and husband Joseph Czubak of Jackson, and
Karen and husband, Peter Minus of East Brunswick; 3 granddaughters: Karyn, Kelly, and Jordyn;
1 niece and 4 nephews; a sister,
Doris Greaux of Perth Amboy;
2 sister-in-laws Rita Miller of Toms River and Virginia Kelly of Miami, FL
A memorial Mass will be offered on Saturday August 14, 2010, at 10 am at St. Mary's RC Church, 104 Center St., Perth Amboy. Burial of her Cremains will follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery.
