Clara L. Petersen, 94, of Edison, passed peacefully at her home on Saturday, May 2, 2015.
Born in Perth Amboy, Clara had resided in Edison for 66 the last years.
She was a graduate of Perth Amboy High School with "the class of 1938".
Clara retired in June 30 1995, after 42 years as an accountant for the General Cable Corp. in Perth Amboy.
She had been a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Perth Amboy and a member of WELCA – Women's Evangelical Lutheral Church Association.
Clara was predeceased by her beloved sisters, Eleanor A. Peterson, (2014), Marion Peterson (1994) and her dear brother, Thomas Peterson (1995), her beloved parents, Andrew and Lillian Petersen and, her beloved niece, Diane M. Peterson-Marquez.
She leaves behind her great nephew, Robert Marquez, Sr. and many great grand nieces and great grand nephews. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 600 New Brunswick Ave. Perth Amboy, NJ 08861, followed by a 10:30 a.m. funeral service. Interment will be in Clover Leaf Memorial Park Cemetery, Woodbridge.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Flynn and son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Clara Petersen's memory to Grace Lutheran Church, Perth Amboy.
