Clara M. "Linnie" Harris, 97, of Perth Amboy entered in to eternal rest Monday, December 13, 2010, at the Alameda Care Center in Perth Amboy.

She was born in Jersey City and resided in Perth Amboy for the past 60 years. Linnie was a registered nurse at Raritan Bay Medical Center for 50 years, retiring in 1983. She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fords and sang in the church choir. She was also a member of the St. Mary's Seniors, the Olive St. Seniors in Perth Amboy, and the Metuchen YMCA.

Linnie was predeceased by her husband, Samuel Richard Harris, in 1960 and is survived by her son Gilbert B. Harris of Charlotte, NC; her brother, Maurice Lindquist, of West Wyoming, Pennsylvania; and her grandson, Brian Harris of Washington State.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 10:00 am at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 28 Fourth St., Fords with Rev. Christopher Sadlo officiating. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Ave., Perth Amboy.

Contributions in Linnie's memory are requested to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in lieu of flowers.
