Obituary

Cindy A. Ciasco, 58, of Sewaren, passed away at home on June 12, 2023. She was born on December 16, 1964, in Perth Amboy, New Jersey.

Cindy was a graphic designer by trade and began her career with AT&T in  Bedminster when she was in her twenties, moving on to become lead project manager for many years at JRGraphics headquartered in Westfield, New Jersey.  And while she enjoyed the printing and graphics part of her career, Cindy was first and foremost a people person who was blessed with an incredible sense of humor.  If ever there was a person that could shake things up and get people laughing, Cindy was the one who could do it.  Cindy also enjoyed line dancing with her mother, country music, going to the beach and, believe it or not, cutting her grass.  Cindy was also a caring mother, an avid pet lover and a great friend to her siblings and all of her countless acquaintances.

But without doubt, Cindy's most impactful and crowning life achievement is that she spearheaded a tireless and relentless years-long social media campaign to find a kidney donor for her brother Ron…which was ultimately successful… and through her efforts and the grace of God…allowed her brother to undergo the transplant he needed to make a full recovery and fully enjoy his life again to this day.  Cindy was and will always remain a special, unique, loving and fun person who is going to be missed more than words can ever express by all who ever had the pleasure of knowing her.

Cindy was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Doris Friis, and is survived by her daughter, Kristen Ciasco and her fiancé, Michael, of Sewaren; Alyssa Caparucci of Woodbridge, three brothers; Ron Friis, of Sewaren; Glenn Friis, of Freehold; Chris Friis, of Boulder City, NV.; and her two dogs, Timmy and Peanut.

Visitation will be at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863, on Friday 4-8 pm. Funeral Services will begin Saturday, 9:15 am followed by a 10 am Funeral Liturgy at St. James Church in Woodbridge. Cremation is private.
