Christos Mavroudas, 59, of Edison, passed away peacefully at his home, with his family at his side on Sunday, December 30, 2012.
He was born and raised in Megali Panagia, Greece, where he had resided, until moving to Edison 33 years ago.
Christos was a restaurant manager for both The Pines Manor and Skylark Diner in Edison for over 30 years. He began his career with the Captain's Wheel in Edison and Captain G's in Fords and was the former owner of Sophie's Place in Somerset. He loved his family, loved his work and enjoyed fishing of all sorts.
He was predeceased by his father, Mavrodis Mavroudas and he leaves behind his wife of 27 years, Mary (Quinn) Mavroudas, his 2 daughters, Sophia R. Mavroudas of San Marcos, TX and Marissa K. Mavroudas of Edison, his sister, Maria Leontarakis and her husband George of Greece, his mother, Sophia Mavroudas of Greece, his mother in law, Rose Anne Quinn and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at 10:15 a.m. from the Flynn and son/ Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Ave. Metuchen, NJ 08840,
Followed by an 11 a.m Funeral Liturgy at St. Matthew the Apostle Church in Edison. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 from 1-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m.
