Private cremation services were held for Christopher A. Ceglia 76, of Perth Amboy, who passed peacefully at the JFK Meridian Medical Center in Edison on Friday evening of February 16, 2024.

Chris was born in Perth Amboy on February 21, 1947. He was a longtime resident of the city of Perth Amboy, where as an amateur astronomer, he enjoyed gazing at stars along the waterfront.

He served in the United States Air Force from 1970 until 1973,
where he achieved the rank of Sargent.

His last employment was as a maintenance worker for the Amboy Care Center, currently operating as Spring Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Perth Amboy.

He was predeceased by his parents, Americo and Mildred Ceglia.  He was also predeceased by his devoted and beloved wife, Donna Ceglia who passed away in 2006 (shown with him in this photo from their youth).

He leaves behind his precious daughter, Lisa Ceglia of the Iselin section of Woodbridge Township and her significant other, Tom Mancino; his devoted brothers, Vincent Ceglia and his wife, Ginger, of Saylorsburg, PA and Joseph George Ceglia of Zephyrhills, FL; and his sister, Nancy Clark, of West Hills, CA.  Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

His last years were spent enjoying time at the Perth Amboy Senior Center and in the company of caring individuals including long-time, good friend and neighbor, Marisol Chevres and her family.
