Chris Robbins, 47, of South Plainfield, passed peacefully, early Sunday morning at the RWJ Hospital at Somerset, after a long and courageous battle with metastatic cancer.
He was born in Trenton, NJ and formerly of Pennsylvania, he had resided in South Plainfield for the last 17 years.
He had been employed as a fork-lift operator for Fuji of Edison for 3 years, before going on permanent disability.
He had been a huge Atlanta Falcons fan and was an active member of the Edison Moose Lodge.
He was predeceased by his brother, Barry Betsch, his father-in-law, Newton E. Rhodes, and his brother- in-law, Scott Rhodes, who died in August of this year.
Chris leaves behind, his beloved wife, Lynn D. Rhodes, his step-daughter, Autumn M. Boryeskne of Parlin, NJ, his sister-in-law, Joy McWeeney and brother-in-law, Kevin McWeeney, of Jackson, his mother-in-law, Dawn J Rhodes, of Jackson and a niece, Rachel McWeeney, of Jackson and his faithful "Baby Girl" dog "Roxie".
Visitation will be on Thursday evening, November 1, 2018, from 4 pm to 7 pm, at the Flynn and Son / Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Ave. Metuchen, NJ 08840, with a funeral tribute by his family, which will take place during the visiting hours. A private cremation will follow.
