Obituary

Chok Wah Yu, 74, of Edison, died Sunday June 10, 2012,at the Barbara E. Cheung Memorial Hospice in Edison after a long illness.

He was born in Tianjin, China, and was formerly of Hong Kong. He immigrated to the U.S. 30 years ago, settling in in NY City and has resided in Edison for the last 20 years. Mr. Yu retired in 2007, after 25 years with the U.S. Postal Service in Edison where he worked as an Automation Clerk.

He is survived by his wife, Pofee Yu; his son, Michael Yu and his daughter-in-law, Chris, of Edison; his daughter, Candy Xu and his son-in-law, Wallace, of Edison; a granddaughter, Fiona Xu; two grandsons, Ryan and Kyle Yu; his two brothers, Fred Yu of CA and Roger Yu of NY City; and his sister, Connie Ko of FL.

Visitation will be on Thursday, June 14, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Flynn and son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Avenue, Metuchen, NJ 08840. A procession to Rosehill Crematory Chapel in Linden will follow on Friday, June 15, 2012, departing from the funeral home at 10 am.
