Chester "Chet" Kolator, 82, of Fords, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024.

Born and raised in Perth Amboy, Chet was a graduate of Perth Amboy High School.  He had years of technical experience in electrical, automotive, structural and HVAC areas. There was no problem he couldn't solve. He built so many things including bridges, rebuilt cars and repaired equipment.  He was knowledgeable in so many areas, and always willing to help anyone. He was always working on a project for himself, or for someone else who needed his problem-solving abilities.

When he wasn't working on projects, Chet was an avid motorcyclist, and often rode in charity motorcycle runs. He attended motorcycle rallies with his friends up until his late 70's. Chet loved to socialize. He loved getting out and meeting new people. He made friends easily, many which he maintained for many years.

He will be missed greatly by his family, friends, and fellow motorcycle buddies.

Chet is survived by his daughter: Dawne Yarmush of Houston, TX, son: Martin Kolator of Readington, NJ, and his brother Walter Kole of Berkely Heights, NJ.

Cremation has taken place privately. The family will have a memorial visitation for Chet on Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 1:00pm – 3:00pm at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ.
