With very heavy hearts, we share the devastating news that Charlotte Marie Cromwell, 82, of Lakewood, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at Monmouth Medical Center South in Lakewood, NJ.

Born on August 9, 1940, in Perth Amboy, NJ, Charlotte was formerly of Whitehouse Station prior to her move to Lakewood eighteen years ago.  She graduated from Perth Amboy High School in 1958 and was an Administrative Assistant at various companies throughout her career, retiring from Schering-Plough in Liberty Corner in 1999.

Charlotte was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert Cromwell, in 1998.

Charlotte was a loving mother, grandmother, and treasured friend to many.  She was generous and kind beyond measure and she is so deeply missed. Charlotte leaves behind her cherished daughters: Kimberly Cromwell Piniella and her husband, Richard, of Hillsborough, NJ; Kelly Cromwell of Hoboken, NJ; and her two beloved grandchildren: Matthew and Victoria.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted by Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Ave. Metuchen, NJ 088840.  Interment will be at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.

In accordance with Charlotte's wishes, there will be a celebration of her life in lieu of a wake, as Charlotte loved to enjoy music, her family, and friends. All who knew her are welcome to attend from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm on March 25, 2023, at Calvary Lighthouse, 1133 East County Line Road, Lakewood, NJ 08701.  If you would like to honor Charlotte with stories, pictures, or other memories, her family will lovingly include them in the ceremony.
