Charles
Webster
February 9, 1957 – May 24, 2023
Charles "Star" Webster, 66, of Perth Amboy was received in the arms of the Lord on Wednesday, May 24, 2023.
Charles was born in St. Kitts on February 9, 1957 to Charlie Thompson and the late Yolanda Steele. He grew up in the US Virgin Islands and was very active with Boxing in his community. Charles was a welder by trade, but he was really more of a "jack of all trades." He could be found fixing cars, building cabinets, or anything around that needed tending to or repair. In the early 1990's he relocated to Wildwood, Florida where he lived for the last 30 years until moving to New Jersey a couple of years ago. While in Florida he worked in his trade of welding as well as working as a chef. As a motorcycle enthusiast, he was a member and captain of the Skytroopers Motorcycle Club in Florida. A simple man, Charles found that all he needed most days was a t-shirt and jeans to be comfortable. He loved to make people laugh. He found such joy in telling people stories; while only some of the stories were actually factual, he loved the smile he was able to put on his listeners faces. Even though Charles was one of nine children in his family, his presence will be missed, there is a hole in our hearts, but his memories (and stories) will live on with his family.
Charles leaves to mourn his passing his beloved sisters: Laurel Charles, Donna, Helen, Melva, and Julian Webster; his dear brothers: Ricardo, Alex, and Clayton Webster, and Malcom Thompson; his loving auntie: Yvonne Tatum Griffin; cherished nieces and nephews: Jamisha Trotmon, Krystal Charles, Teneice Hodge, Kanisha, Rashana, Elise, Cidney, Alexandria, Aliah, and Akia Webster, Tashba and Nashba Punter, Ricaldo Webster, Jr., Demoi and Dwayne Croft, Jr., Trevorn and Reynaldo Hodge. He also leaves many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
Funeral Services will take place at 12:00pm on Saturday, June 17, 2023 from the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Ave., Perth Amboy where friends may pay their respects from 11:00am until the time of the services. Cremation will take place privately following the services.
