Charles Severini, 91, passed away on January 27, 2013, at JFK Medical Center, Edison. He was born in Newark and resided in Edison for the past 30 years. Charles worked in the Maintenance Department at Phelps Dodge Copper Corp. in Elizabeth for 42 years. He served with the US Army during WWII. Charles was a communicant at Guardian Angels RC Church, Edison, and a member of VFW and DAV. Charles is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Lockhart); a brother, Salvatore; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 10 AM, Friday, February 1, 2013, from Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ 08863 followed by a 10:30 AM Funeral Liturgy at Transfiguration of the Lord Parish at Guardian Angels RC Church, Edison. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be on Thursday, January 31, from 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans at www.dav.org
